One of the taglines associated with the popular Indian glue, Fevicol, is “the ultimate adhesive”. This glue is found in almost every Indian home irrespective of geography or social demographics. GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1 Cor 12:1, 4-111Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant…4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

The Holy Spirit dwelling inside Christ-followers is our gateway to the heart of God. It’s through him that we can know the will of the Father, and through him that we encounter God’s presence and have continued free access to the heart of God. Read more

Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil [Eph 4:26-27]

When people do wrong or behave badly the natural response is to be angry, and that is okay…! Jesus was often angry with those who claimed to know God and took advantage of others. Nothing angered Jesus more than hypocritical religious leaders. But rather than allowing anger to fester inside of him, Jesus poured his life out for the very people who hated and killed him. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [Psa 147:3].

We live in an imperfect world with imperfect humans. There are no perfect parents, no perfect friends, and no perfect siblings or spouses. As a result, all of experience trial and pain and go through life wounded and scarred. Without healing and forgiveness, we allow other people’s sinful actions to impact our future. We lash out and hurt others because we are broken and in need of healing. And unless we learn to let God heal our wounds and scars we will never move ahead in our walk with God. Read more
